Social Media Isn’t Rocket Science
Social media has been all the buzz in marketing circles for years now. Thousands of ‘gurus’ have made it their business to confuse, obfuscate, and muddy the waters around it.
Social Media is about people.
Everything else that people talk about: Facebook, Twitter, Google +, Tweetdeck, Analytics - they are just tools.
Forget talking about your business for a couple of days. Go talk to some people, and see if you can help them out. That is really what social is about. Stop being intimidated. Stop being scared. Go forth. Get your feet wet. It will be fun.
You’ll make mistakes, but everybody does. Apologize. Move on.
THEN, once you’re comfortable, start digging deeper.
