Social Media Marketing 101

The world of training for social media marketing is a lot like the world of inspirational books. Most of the time, both get you really excited about something, but kind of leave the exact details out.

I can’t do anything about the inspirational books, but I can do something about training for social media marketing.

On Wednesday, December 14, 2011 I will be hosting a Social Media Marketing training event in Regina, SK.

Call it a workshop, or perhaps a boot camp, but I’m going to do something that MOST other social media marketers won’t: I’m going to show you exactly HOW to do things.

We’re going to start with a brief reminder of what marketing is, then talk a little bit about the internet and SEO. Then the work begins.

We will take a look at various social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook. I will give you the tools to develop your social media goals, the strategy you will use to get there, and the tactics that will help you achieve those goals.

I will share the tools, methods, and best practices that you need to interact with your prospects, leads, and customers. Using specific examples and live searches, we will identify people that may be interested in following you, and I will show you how to create content that will keep them following you, and how you can turn those followers into cash. Best of all, I’ll show you how to measure your results so that you can accurately judge your hard work.
