Over the course of my life I have worked in retail, technical support, sales, and management roles. I have invested time and money in expanding my understanding of marketing, writing, and sales to better serve my clients and provide the most value possible.
In 2005 I began selling my services, and I feel very lucky that the work I have produced has been sought after and received so well. In 2008 I began actively promoting my writing and marketing business. Since then I have done work for clients on five continents (North America, South America, Australia, Asia, and Europe) and am pursuing clients in Africa and Antarctica.
I have been fortunate that I am able to make my living doing what I love; much of my work is focused on helping businesses and business owners promote themselves. To this end, I create work such as biographies, brochures and flyers, business letters, sales scripts, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, speeches, articles and blog posts. Because I am genuinely interested in learning about the businesses of my clients, I am often called on for any writing that they need.
I have been published in several magazines, written a sidebar for a book on parenting, and am being featured in an upcoming book on people who have taken courageous steps in business. I’m a huge proponent of the web and social media, and I’m active on many blogs and social media platforms. I run several for profit websites and actively maintain two blogs. I’m currently gathering information for a business book that I hope will be completed in 2011.
From a marketing view I love the opportunities that social media brings. However, I also understand the power of traditional marketing, and believe that both types of marketing work best when paired with each other. It is amazing how effectively a direct mail campaign can drive traffic and business.
